Overview
The Farmland School Tax Rebate (FSTR) was implemented in 2004 to support the rural economy by providing Manitoba farmland owners with school tax relief.
The current FSTR rebate percentage is up to 40 per cent of school tax to a maximum of $2,500 between related parties. Landowners are required to submit an annual application to Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation (MASC). If you received a rebate in 2023, a pre-populated application form will be supplied to you in 2024.
If this is your first time applying for the rebate, application forms and additional information are available below.
The 2025 Farmland School Tax Rebate program will be opening applications in the near future. Please check back in the coming days for more information.
The deadlines to apply for the 2024 and earlier year rebates have now passed.
