Photo Submission

Submission Checklist

Photos must be high resolution (1 MB or higher). When you use the online submission form, it will indicate the size of the image (1000 KB = 1 MB).
Photos generated either in part or wholly by Artificial Intelligence (AI) are not eligible for submission.
- Photos should be original and unaltered (i.e. not cropped, photoshopped, or scanned).
Please indicate the general area (community or rural municipality) within Manitoba where the photo was taken.
A completed release form PDF is required for your photos to be considered. If there are people in the photo, we will need a release form for each person.
We're only accepting six images per entry.

Submit Photos

Photography Tips for Success

Submit horizontal photos (portrait images are rarely used).
Only high resolution photos of optimum quality will be considered. Shoot with a good quality camera or newer smart phone/tablet.
Have a steady hand, make sure the photo is in focus, level, and well-framed.
Get as close to the subject/object as possible, rather than using the zoom function (especially for smart phone/tablet images).
If you are driving, pull over (safety first) and roll the window down get out of the vehicle before taking the shot. This prevents glare and motion blur.
Keep an eye on the background. Move to a better spot to avoid having hydro poles, vehicles that aren’t meant to be there, etc. Unless the road is an important aspect of the image, walk into the ditch or go to the edge of the field to take the shot (if it’s safe to do so and you’re not trespassing).
If crops are in the picture, they should be crops that MASC insures.
Please keep farm safety in mind.

Terms and Conditions

This contest is conducted by Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation (MASC). The contest begins on April 1, 2026 and ends on September 30, 2026.
This contest is open to legal residents of Manitoba who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Each photo submitted will be considered as an entry into the draw. Photo submissions are limited to six per participant for this contest.
All entries must be submitted via the online submission form. Include your name and contact information and specify the location of each photograph. All photographs must have been taken within the province of Manitoba prior to the closing date of the contest.
An MASC prize package with an approximate retail value of $50 (CDN), will be given away to each person whose photo is selected for the calendar. Winners will be announced in late 2026.
Odds of winning depend on the number of photo entries submitted to MASC.
MASC will make reasonable efforts to contact the selected entrant by email within one week of the draw date. Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant must: (a) correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered via email; (b) be in full agreement and compliance with these contest rules; and (c) agree to the posting by MASC of their name as the contest winner. A selected entrant who cannot be contacted or who does not agree or comply with these contest rules will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be chosen.
A completed authorization and release form is required for photos to be considered.
Pictures submitted as entries for this contest must adhere to MASC’s Moderation and Privacy Notification policy of inappropriate content.
MASC reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this contest, or extend the deadline for this contest, at any time for any reason. If the contest is terminated or suspended, MASC may select the winner by a random draw from eligible entries received before that time.
The prize must be accepted as awarded, is not transferable, and cannot be converted to cash. MASC reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent value if the particular prize is not available for any reason. MASC will make all reasonable efforts to deliver the prize to the declared winner as soon as the winner is announced.
The winner is responsible for, and releases MASC and its employees from all claims, injuries, damages, losses, and costs related to or in any way arising out of this contest (including, without limitation, the delivery, acceptance, insurance, and use of the prize).
Under no circumstances will MASC, or its directors, officers, and employees, be required to award more prizes than what is indicated in these rules or award the prize other than in accordance with these rules.
MASC, including its employees, is not responsible or liable for: any incorrect or inaccurate information, howsoever caused; any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, or failure in relation to any communications line; theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, contest entries; any technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or problems of participants on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person’s computer, related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this contest; or any late, lost or destroyed contest entries.
Any attempt by an entrant or any other person to deliberately damage MASC’s online properties or undermine the legitimate operation of this contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws; and should such an attempt be made, MASC reserves the right to seek remedies and damages (including legal fees) from any such entrant or other person to the fullest extent permitted by law, including seeking criminal prosecution.
This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.
